Strange Knowledges

Research Group Intersections and Columbia University faculty coorganized this event exploring the presence, relevance, and impact of modes of ‘strange’, eccentric, unusual, unfamiliar and/or unconventional knowledge formations in contemporary cultural forms. Twenty academics and artists from multiple fields and theoretical perspectives gathered to investigate the notion of ‘strange knowledges’ and its possible repercussions.
